Juanita Bay Park

(c) J. Fullerton Photography

Juanita Bay Park, located in Kirkland Washington, consists of over 140 acres of "urban" wildlife habitat and is home to over 200 species of birds, mammals, reptiles, and amphibians. Populations vary throughout the year, especially during bird migration periods. Diverse plant life also is supported by a mix of wet meadow and wetland. The park is highly accessible, and features both paved and wooden walkways, with access to Lake Washington. For the wildlife photographer, Juanita Bay Park provides an excellent "day trip" experience.
